Designed to give Drupal practitioners structured, hands-on training in using artificial intelligence with human oversight, AI Inside Drupal Essentials has been named the official training program of the Drupal AI Initiative. DrupalEasy developed and delivers the 18-hour course, with longtime Drupal developer and trainer Mike Anello leading the curriculum.

Paul Johnson announced the designation through the Drupal AI Initiative on September 25, 2026. Training begins with secure large language model integration and workflows that allow people to review AI-generated suggestions before they are saved. The curriculum then moves into agentic workflows and Drupal's Tool API, retrieval-augmented generation using vector databases, and local model deployment through Ollama. AI Automators, Field Widget Actions and AI Metering are among the Drupal modules used during the course.

Live online classes are delivered in three-hour sessions and include recordings, a dedicated Slack channel and more than 100 pages of technical material. Registration costs $600. The Drupal AI Initiative announcement lists a session running from November 9 to November 20, 2026. DrupalEasy's current course and registration pages instead list a cohort beginning October 5, 2026. DrupalEasy also identifies AIDE as the renamed Responsible Drupal AI Basics course. Prospective participants should confirm the applicable dates before registering.
