Pantheon has detailed the development and deployment workflow behind Americaneagle.com’s ongoing headless commerce rebuild for industrial manufacturer Dixon, adding technical information to a project previously covered by The DropTimes. The new account identifies Drupal 11 as the backend and a custom Next.js application as the storefront, with Dixon’s rebuilt site now targeted to go live in October 2026.

The DropTimes reported in August that Americaneagle.com was developing a custom Drupal and Next.js commerce system for Dixon after moving the company’s hosting to Pantheon. Pantheon’s case study now says the frontend was developed through its Next.js hosting beta, while pull requests create Multidev environments that can be reviewed by developers, QA staff and project managers. Americaneagle.com also added automated performance checks against those deployment URLs before changes are allowed to merge.

Americaneagle.com Drupal architect Daniel Kinney said the Next.js Multidev workflow subsequently influenced how the agency handles its other Pantheon-hosted Drupal projects. GitHub or GitLab merge requests on those sites can now trigger Multidev environments through Quicksilver hooks. Pantheon says Americaneagle.com is seeing positive performance figures in lower environments for the Dixon project, but the case study publishes no production benchmarks ahead of the planned October launch.
