Amanda Luker

With a B.A. in urban studies from Macalester College and an M.A. in media studies from The New School, Amanda began her career in journalism as a writer and editor. Her web development career was born when she joined the Science Museum of Minnesota, theming Drupal 4.6 websites for the Learning Technologies Center.

Amanda is a Senior Frontend Engineer at Four Kitchens.  At Four Kitchens, Amanda is responsible for translating visual designs and applying them to Drupal sites. She’s passionate about custom component-based design, the movement toward universal design, and ensuring accessibility is baked into websites from the beginning. She’s constantly mindful of the motivation behind web design and loves building flexible sites for organizations that do good in the world, particularly nonprofits and universities.
