O8 is looking for a high-caliber Drupal developer to join their team. They are accepting candidates for front-end, back-end, or full-stack Drupal development.
Job Responsibilities:
First and foremost you must be reliable, honest, and an autonomous worker/self-starter. You should be able to read and follow directions and be a good communicator. You should be able to work well in a team and be able to stay focused and dedicated in a remote/distributed team format. You may have been the top dog at your current company, but the expectation is you learn and take direction from team members, who may have an elevated level of experience, at least in the context of O8 company and their modus operandi.
Qualifications:
Both back-end and front-end developers should be proficient in these skills:
- Version control with Git preferably using with the command line
- Practical experience with platforms like Pantheon or Acquia
- Agile workflows
- Documenting and communicating your work
As a back-end developer, you should be quite proficient in:
- Modern PHP skills with OOP
- Custom module development
- Working knowledge of Drupal's API
- Integrating Drupal via API with 3rd party tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)
- Experience working on Drupal migrations
- Advanced layout experience with Paragraphs, Layout Builder, and legacy Drupal layout systems
- Integrating with front-end design systems like Pattern Lab or Storybook
- Decoupled architectures
- Drupal and other coding standards
Bonus Skills: Experience with Docker, Composer, and cloud services
If you do front-end development, you should be quite proficient in:
- Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Design systems like Pattern Lab or Storybook
- Working from Photoshop, Sketch, or Figma designs to craft responsive layouts
- Ability to write vanilla JavaScript, and work with or support legacy jQuery code
- Experience with Paragraphs, Layout Builder, and legacy Drupal layout systems
- Experience or understanding of Drupal's theme system, including PHP and Twig templating
Bonus Skills: Experience with frameworks like React
Preference will be given to candidates who provide profile links (e.g., Drupal.org, GitHub, LinkedIn) and links to code samples or portfolio projects that best represent your work.
O8 is open to part-time candidates, although this particular position is targeting either a direct-hire or contract-to-hire, full-time position.
