MidCamp 2023 Call for Volunteers
The Drupal community is known for its welcoming and collaborative nature, and one way to get involved and give back is by volunteering at events like MidCamp. This year, MidCamp is looking for volunteers to help with a variety of tasks, from setup and teardown to registration and session monitoring.
Setup/Teardown
For setup, volunteers will help ensure that registration is ready to go, hats are prepared to move, and rooms and walkways are prepped for sessions. During the teardown, volunteers will pack up rooms, the registration desk, signage, and more, making it look like MidCamp was never there.
Registration and Ticketing
Registration and ticketing are also key areas where volunteers are needed. Volunteers will help with ticket scanning, program distribution, and answering attendee questions.
Session Monitors
There are opportunities to be a session monitor for those who want to be more involved in the conference sessions. Volunteers can pick their preferred sessions, count heads, introduce speakers, ensure they have everything they need, and help with the in-room A/V.
Choose Your Adventure
MidCamp also welcomes volunteers who want to choose their own adventure and help in any way they can. All volunteers will receive credit on Drupal.org, so be sure to include your profile name when signing up.
If you're interested in volunteering or would like to find out more about the opportunities available, please reach out in the Volunteers Channel on the MidCamp Slack.
MidCamp is happening on April 26-28, 2023. This Chicago-area event brings together the open-source Drupal content management software's designers, developers, users, and evaluators.
