Help TDT Cover and Capture DrupalSouth Moments
TheDropTimes is seeking volunteers to help us cover the event DrupalSouth 2023 in person in Wellington. It would enable us to showcase the community's excellent work. We need your help to ensure we capture all the important moments of the conference.
As a volunteer covering the event, you will be responsible for taking photos and videos and helping to share updates and highlights. It is an opportunity for anyone interested in journalism, social media, or event coverage.
Since TDT's Journalists reside miles away, we hope someone present in Wellington or attending the event could lend a helping hand.
We welcome volunteers of all experience levels, so whether you're a seasoned journalist, social media novice, or even someone with a knack for making new friends, we would love to have you on board. All content will be attributed and published under your byline.
As a volunteer, you will also have the opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills, and positively impact the community.
Wondering how you could help out?
Got a Camera? Send pictures of you and your group attending a talk or maybe having a cup of tea, an in-the-moment picture—double points for creative descriptions.
Learn something new about someone new: Asking what their favourite moment has been so far. A testimonial or even a video of them saying it! A short interview.
Follow the Code of Conduct and Journalistic ethics: Ask if the person is okay with being recorded and having their picture clicked.
If you are interested in volunteering to cover the event, please email us at [email protected] with your name and contact information. Ben is the community manager at TDT. Kindly include the subject line as DrupalSouth Volunteer. We will provide more details about the event and the volunteer opportunities available.
Thank you for being so supportive, and we look forward to working with you!
