CWG Releases Revised Code of Conduct Effective from July 2023

New Version Designed to Reflect the Growth of the Drupal Community

The Drupal Community Working Group (CWG) has announced the release of an updated Code of Conduct for the Drupal community, set to take effect on July 1, 2023. This revised version aims to reflect the community's growth since adopting the original Code of Conduct in 2010, aiming to create a safer, more inclusive, and harassment-free environment for all participants.

Led by CWG's Community Health Team subgroup, the revision process involved gathering feedback and sharing drafts with diverse stakeholders across the global Drupal community. A draft was subsequently shared publicly, allowing for wider input. The final document underwent review and approval by the CWG's Conflict Resolution Team and Review Panel.

To provide additional insights into the code's update, CWG team members will share further details during the "How We Updated the Drupal Code of Conduct" session at the Community Summit, taking place at DrupalCon Pittsburgh 23.

While maintaining the basic structure of the previous document, the updated Code of Conduct features significant rewrites to enhance readability. Refer to the Drupal.org community blog for in-depth information on the revised code of conduct.
