Enhancing Multi-Cloud Resilience: Drupal and Yugabyte Database Synergy

Srijan hosted a presentation by Ashish Thakur, Director of Technology, on the occasion of SQL Summit Asia 2023, where he explored the power of combining Drupal with the Yugabyte tech stack to create a resilient and cloud-native Digital Experience Platform (DXP).

Thakur emphasized that exceptional digital experiences are not achieved through isolated elements but through the harmonious integration of complementary solutions.

During the session, Thakur delved into the concept of digital experience, highlighting the role of digital experience platforms in delivering remarkable customer experiences. He briefly introduced Drupal, showcasing its capabilities in enhancing digital experiences. The core focus of the presentation revolved around demonstrating how Drupal when paired with Yugabyte, can result in a robust and cloud-native DXP.

While Platform as a Service (PaaS) providers like Acquia and Pantheon offer Drupal-specific hosting solutions, many enterprises opt to run Drupal on public or private cloud environments. However, these managed services can sometimes be proprietary, restricting the development of truly cloud-neutral applications, or they might not be easily orchestrated across multiple cloud providers. This is where YugabyteDB shines. It enables you to run your Drupal application on Kubernetes across different clouds, facilitating multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud installations.

A key highlight of the session was a live demonstration of Drupal running on Yugabyte. This practical showcase illustrated the resilience and capabilities of this tech stack duo. By leveraging the strengths of both Drupal and Yugabyte, businesses can not only meet but exceed customer expectations in the realm of digital experiences.
