Matthew Saunders Announces Bid for Drupal Association Board 2024

Matthew Saunders, a prominent figure in the Drupal community, has officially announced his candidacy for the upcoming Drupal Association Board elections. With a career spanning 17 years in organizing and leading community initiatives, Saunders brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to fostering collaboration and inclusivity within the Drupal ecosystem.

Matthew's involvement with Drupal has been extensive and varied. He is best known for his role in organizing DrupalCamp Colorado and for co-founding Drupal Colorado Inc. His contributions also include serving as the Customer Service Manager and Volunteer Wrangler for DrupalCon Denver, as well as speaking at nine DrupalCons and numerous Drupalcamps, where he has delivered keynote speeches.

In addition to his hands-on experience in event organization and community building, Matthew has played a significant role in governance. He has been an administrator of the Drupal Facebook Page, a Board Alumnus, and the Chair of the Governance Committee for the Drupal Association. His nearly eight years of board experience extend beyond Drupal, including positions with CrownPointe Academy and the Advisory Board of NEXT for Autism, emphasizing his dedication to inclusivity and community engagement.

In his candidacy announcement, Saunders notes,
