Drupal Training Sessions at Pacific Northwest Drupal Summit 2024
The Pacific Northwest Drupal Summit 2024, taking place from October 11-13 in Seattle, WA, introduces a new addition this year: a dedicated day for training and contribution. Attendees can choose between two comprehensive workshops to enhance their Drupal skills or join the Contribution Room to give back to the community. Both workshops offer hands-on training for participants looking to deepen their site building or module development knowledge. Spaces are limited, and separate registration is required for each workshop.
The "Getting Started with Drupal" training is designed for beginners who want to gain a solid foundation in site-building. Led by Keegan Rankin from Agaric Technology Collective and Ryan Price from ICF, this workshop will guide participants through Drupal's core concepts like nodes, content types, views, and blocks. By the end of the day, attendees will have built a fully functional website and gained the skills to navigate and modify Drupal sites. This session runs on October 11, 2024, in Room HUB 337.
Mike Anello from DrupalEasy will lead a full-day "Professional Drupal Module Development Tools" workshop for developers looking to refine their module development skills. Participants will learn how to set up powerful tools such as PhpStorm, Visual Studio Code, and code quality tools like PhpStan and Xdebug. This session requires experience with command-line tools and prior setup of either DDEV or Lando, ensuring attendees are prepared to build custom modules efficiently. The workshop takes place in Room HUB 340, on October 11, 2024.
Both workshops offer an opportunity for Drupal enthusiasts of all levels to enhance their skills and engage with the community during the summit in Seattle. Read more here.
