Droptica Launches Tool for Faster Drupal 7 to Drupal 10/11 Migration Estimations
Droptica has introduced a new Drupal 7 Audit Tool designed to help companies quickly estimate the costs and effort required to migrate from Drupal 7 to Drupal 10 or 11. The tool extracts detailed metadata from Drupal 7 sites, generating an audit file that provides crucial insights into various aspects of the site, such as content types, taxonomies, users, fields, modules, themes, and file types.

Key features of the tool include comprehensive node type and taxonomy vocabulary reports, detailed module information (both contributed and custom), and a breakdown of user roles. The audit file also analyzes fields for each node type, counts files by MIME type, and provides in-depth theme information, such as JS and CSS files, templates, and PHP code percentages.
The script saves organizations' time by quickly compiling the technical details needed for migration planning. By providing clear data on a site's structure and codebase, the tool enables faster, more accurate estimations of the resources required to upgrade to newer versions of Drupal.
Droptica's blog provides more information and a demonstration video guiding users through the five-minute process of collecting audit data.
