Week 20 of XB development, spanning September 23–29, 2024, saw the culmination of Experience Builder (XB) efforts with the release of version 0.1.0-alpha during DrupalCon, reports Wim Leers, track lead. The milestone was achieved with a critical fix to prevent size changes in XB annotations and labels when zooming. Special thanks to Utkarsh, Atul Dubey, and Bálint Kléri for guiding the issue to completion. While much of the team attended DrupalCon, the rest pivoted to research for the next milestone, version 0.2.0. Notable research tasks included auto-saving functionality, in-UI component creation, and enhancements to XB’s data model.

A key meeting during DrupalCon addressed the XB JSON-based data storage model, focusing on improving the search index without compromising UX. Presentations at DrupalCon included a highlight of XB 0.1.0 during the DriesNote and discussions on leveraging React and Redux within the Drupal framework. Week 20 also featured exciting hallway conversations that validated the team's direction with XB.
