LucknowFOSS 1.0 Set to Debut April 12 at IIIT Lucknow
The inaugural LucknowFOSS conference will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at IIIT Lucknow. It will mark the city’s first major FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) gathering under the FOSS United Foundation.
The one-day event will feature a full schedule of talks, workshops and networking sessions focused on open-source software, hardware and data. According to the organizers, the conference aims to bring together seasoned contributors and newcomers alike to collaborate and exchange ideas in a community-driven environment.
One of the main event highlights is the session titled "End Of 10!" by Joseph P. De Veaugh-Geiss, Project & Community Manager at KDE Eco. It will explore a global campaign to coordinate the upcycling of Windows 10 systems into Linux-powered machines.
LucknowFOSS 1.0 is designed to showcase innovation while strengthening ties within India’s growing open-source community. Attendees can expect student ticket discounts, with additional venue details and registration information to be announced soon.
