Dries Buytaert to Discuss Drupal’s Future in Fireside Chat at MidCamp 2025

MidCamp 2025 will feature a fireside chat with Drupal founder and project lead Dries Buytaert, scheduled for Tuesday from 12:00 to 12:45 pm CDT. The session, moderated by Fredric Mitchell, Principal at Bright Plum, Inc., will take place in Room 314AB at DePaul University’s Lincoln Park Student Center in Chicago and will be streamed live for remote attendees.

This hybrid-format discussion aims to explore long-term sustainability for Drupal over the next 10 to 15 years, while addressing the role of commercial influence in the open-source ecosystem. Following major community events like DrupalCon and Dev Days, the session offers attendees a rare opportunity to hear directly from Dries on the direction of the platform and its community values.
