DrupalCon Rotterdam 2026 Opens Call for Summit Proposals, Deadline 27 February 2026
DrupalCon Rotterdam 2026 has opened its call for Summit proposals, inviting community members to organise industry, sector, or topic-focused gatherings on Monday 28 September 2026. The deadline to submit proposals is 27 February 2026.
The Summits will be held as dedicated, one-day events at the start of DrupalCon in Rotterdam. Organisers describe them as community-driven gatherings designed to bring together participants who share a common context within the Drupal ecosystem.
According to the official Call for Summits page, these gatherings are expected to combine short talks, case studies, facilitated discussions, practical breakout conversations, and structured networking. The format may adopt an unconference approach and is intended to produce tangible outcomes, including shared ideas, new connections, and next steps that communities can carry forward.
Initial concept ideas referenced by organisers include a Higher Education Summit, a Government Summit, and an AI Summit. The call remains open to additional proposals that can widen participation, strengthen regional networks, or attract new voices into Drupal conversations.
Organisers state that strong proposals should define a clear audience and purpose, demonstrate that the programme will be community-led rather than commercial, ensure inclusive representation, and offer practical content that attendees can apply. Proposals should also explain why the Summit is needed at this time and who is expected to participate.
Proposals must be submitted through the official submission form before 27 February 2026. Selected Summits will take place on Monday 28 September 2026 in Rotterdam as part of DrupalCon Rotterdam 2026 programming.
