Drupal Events This Week: (3 August 2026 - 10 August 2026)

Six Drupal community events are scheduled between 3 and 9 August 2026, with online sessions covering community safety and HTMX alongside in-person gatherings in Japan, Canada, and the United Kingdom. The listings include a two-day decoupled web conference, recurring local user-group meetings, and a presentation on an artificial intelligence concierge developed for the University of Waterloo.

The week brings together different parts of Drupal activity rather than a single technical theme. Code of Conduct Incident Response Workshop

The Code of Conduct Incident Response Workshop will take place online on 5 August 2026, beginning at 01:00 UTC. The Drupal Community Working Group is continuing its collaboration with Otter Tech to provide live training on responding to Code of Conduct incidents.

The four-hour workshop is intended for community members who may receive, assess, or respond to conduct reports. It covers supporting a person making a report, evaluating incidents, deciding appropriate responses, following up with reported individuals, and practising incident handling through guided scenarios. HTMX Initiative: Refactoring Ajax to HTMX

The Eastern Time Zone Drupal Meetup session will take place online on 5 August 2026 at 22:00 UTC. Shawn Duncan, maintainer of Drupal HTMX and Drupal core Ajax, will discuss work to refactor Drupal’s Ajax interactions using HTMX.

Drupal groups from Boston, Chattanooga, Atlanta, and elsewhere participate in the recurring meetup. The presentation gives contributors an opportunity to follow technical discussion around the initiative and its possible effect on Drupal core interaction patterns.

Drupal Meetup Tokyo #109

Drupal Meetup Tokyo #109 will take place from 19:30 to 21:00 JST on 6 August 2026 at the Digital Circus office in Tokyo. The recurring gathering is intended for Drupal developers, site operators, newer users seeking guidance after installation, and practitioners interested in expanding their development approaches.

The event is the 109th edition of the Tokyo community meetup, which is held every two months. It continues the group’s programme of informal discussion, information sharing, and knowledge exchange around Drupal and its community.

Decoupled Days 2026

Decoupled Days 2026 will take place at Montréal CoWork in Montréal on 6 and 7 August 2026. Registration opens at 08:00 EDT, and conference sessions run from 09:00 to 17:00 EDT on both days.

The programme covers decoupled web development, open-source software, emerging technologies, and content and commerce architecture. Its tracks include emerging technologies, content management and commerce, JavaScript, agency and business topics, and people and community.

Monthly OXDUG Meetup

The Oxford Drupal User Group meetup will begin at 18:00 BST on 6 August 2026 at Open Imagination in Oxford. The programme opens with introductions, news, and community announcements.

The scheduled presentations include a live demonstration titled “Using an AI Agent Inside Drupal: The Grapes Node Creator” at 18:30 BST, followed at 19:00 BST by “SEO and GEO: Getting Your Site Found by Google and AI Search.” The group plans to continue the discussion informally at a local pub afterward.

Beyond Chatbots: AI Drupal Concierge by ImageX

Beyond Chatbots: AI Drupal Concierge by ImageX will take place from 17:30 to 18:30 EDT on 7 August 2026 at the Hampton Inn by Hilton London in London, Ontario. Doors open at 17:15 EDT.

Ahmad Khalil will present an artificial intelligence concierge developed by ImageX for the University of Waterloo. The in-person session will include a demonstration and discussion of the Drupal-based experience, followed by questions about its implementation and potential uses beyond a conventional chatbot interface. Admission is free, with advance registration required.
