Drupal Discover a Scholarship and Training Program

Drupal Discover by Drupal Association is a 12-month long scholarship and training program for under-represented individuals. This initiative aims to unlock opportunities for people who have been underrepresented in the open-source community.

The initiative includes full scholarship support and skills training in Drupal site-building, front-end development, and back-end development. You will have a mentor to help support learning and understand careers in open-source. You will also be able to attend DrupalCon for free.

The Drupal Discover began last April and is supposed to end this year during the DrupalCon 2022. The students were also trained in HTML/CSS courses and other pre-requisite classes. They were also asked to work on a final project with the help of their mentors to test their job readiness.

The pilot program is currently focused on North America and is for individuals 18 or over. The training partners for the initiative are Mediacurrent, Evolving Web, and DrupalEasy. Kanopi Studios is the founding Sponsor, Elevated Third and Lullabot are the Platinum sponsors, and DrupalCamp Asheville is the Supporter level sponsor for this initiative.
