Global Carbon Pricing Challenge Moves from Squarespace to Drupal CMS in Four Weeks
During a four-week first phase, Tojio // Digital Agency migrated the Global Carbon Pricing Challenge website from Squarespace to Drupal CMS. A Drupal.org case study published on 23 July 2026 lists Tojio and Dripyard as organisations involved in the relaunch. Tojio says the brief called for preserving the existing corporate design and content while meeting requirements for accessibility, SEO, consent management, an open-source foundation without vendor lock-in, and GDPR-compliant hosting with data control in the EU.
In a blog post published on 24 July 2026, Dripyard says Tojio used its Meridian Charter School Drupal Site Template instead of starting from a blank Drupal installation. Dripyard says the Meridian Theme supplied Single Directory Components and design tokens, while the Site Template added predefined content types, field definitions, Views, information architecture, and matching Twig templates. Tojio says the theme provided 74 reusable UI components, with additional Single Directory Components added in code where a direct transfer to GCPC's existing corporate design was not possible.
Tojio says recurring news and events remain structured Drupal content, while top-level pages are assembled from reusable components in Drupal Canvas; editors also use the Gin administration theme. The Drupal.org case study identifies Drupal 11.x and lists ECA Context, ECA Drush, and Klaro Cookie & Consent Management among the technical components. It says ECA was included to prepare the site for no-code automation and future AI-driven workflows, while Klaro addressed the consent-management requirement. Claims that the editing experience surpassed Squarespace or that the approach matched WordPress on delivery speed and cost come from organisations involved in the implementation and are not independently benchmarked in the supplied sources.
