Richard Hood (Rick Hood)

Richard Hood graduated with a BS from Brown University in 1979 and an MS from MIT in 1981. In 1981 he entered the family marine business located in Marblehead, MA, which later relocated to Portsmouth, RI, in 1986. He was President of that business from 1991 until 1999 when it was sold to the investment group Bain Willard Companies, LP. In 2000 Richard left the company to launch a new career in web development, video and graphic design. Rick joined Common Media in 2011 where is he Lead Drupal Developer.

Web development, print design & video since 1999 (second career - first career was boat building and service). Freelancer from 2000-2011. Joined Common Media in 2011. Started with ASP, and quite a bit of Flash. Moved to doing all sites using Drupal in late 2006.

Originally from Marblehead, MA, then Newport RI (since 1987) now mostly in Amherst, MA (since 2002).
