Open Source Community Building: How Does It Work with Drupal?

The Dutch central government is embracing open-source collaboration, and an upcoming knowledge session at Opensourcewerken will highlight best practices for building a strong community around shared software products. Scheduled for April 17, 2024, at Dev.loer in Utrecht, the event will focus on the development of the generic Drupal intranet for Rijksoverheid DICTU Web & App Services and explore strategies for fostering collaboration within government IT projects.
Speakers Bas van de Ven and Esmeralda Tijhoff will share their experiences in developing a scalable, community-driven platform and discuss how open-source principles extend beyond code-sharing to knowledge exchange and cross-organizational cooperation. The session is tailored for project leaders, procurement professionals, OSPOs, IT companies, and others working on digital government applications.
Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with peers and continue discussions over informal drinks after the session.
