Florida DrupalCamp 2025 to Offer Laravel Training for Drupal Developers

Florida DrupalCamp 2025, taking place from February 21-23, 2025, in Orlando, FL, will offer a specialized training session for Drupal developers interested in Laravel. The session, "Learn Laravel: Intro for Drupal Developers," is scheduled for Friday, February 21, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and is designed to introduce Laravel’s fundamentals to developers familiar with PHP and Drupal.

Led by Lee Walker, Principal Engineer at Code Journeymen LLC, the hands-on training will guide participants through bootcamp.laravel.com. It will cover key topics such as Blade templating (similar to Twig in Drupal), database migrations, Eloquent queries, routing, middleware, authentication, and more. Attendees will also build the Chirper app, gaining practical Laravel experience.

Ideal for Drupal developers with PHP experience and front-end developers exploring back-end development, the session welcomes all skill levels. Participants should have basic command-line and Git knowledge and be able to set up a local Drupal site using Lando or DDEV.
