Varbase 10.1.0-alpha2 Released with Drupal 11.2 Support, AI Tools, and Admin UI Enhancements
Rajab Natshah has released Varbase 10.1.0-alpha2 with full support for Drupal 11.2. The update introduces a modernised admin interface, AI integrations, customizable dashboards, and improved developer workflows.
The Gin Admin Theme is upgraded to version 5, offering a faster and more intuitive back-end. A new Dashboard module provides flexible data displays and customizable admin workspaces. AI features are enabled through configurable recipes supporting content generation, image alt text, and taxonomy tagging.
New responsive components—including grids, tables, and hero sliders—are integrated via UI Patterns 2.0. The release also introduces updated “Getting Started” and “About Varbase” pages, along with a redesigned welcome tour. Two new tools, Varbase Libraries and Varbase Replaces, simplify local development and overrides.
Varbase Core now includes the ECA module and BPMN.io for workflow automation. Tagify is the default widget for blog posts and entity references. Social authentication modules have been updated, along with support for config action import for Gin blocks.
Other updates include a cleaner composer.json, enhanced media handling, content locking, and integration with the Vartheme BS5 starterkit. Fixes cover accessibility checks, RTL layout issues, and bugs related to social auth icons, cache context, and clean installs.
