Helga from ADCI Solutions shares a case study detailing a functional specification issue in developing a B2B platform for refrigeration and air conditioning equipment vendors and buyers.

The project involves implementing a subscription functionality intended to enhance user capabilities on the platform. However, the functional specs lack specific details regarding the tool for this functionality on the website, leading to an unexpected dependency on Drupal Commerce. This decision resulted in unnecessary challenges as Drupal Commerce could not support the complex payment process required for subscriptions.

Helga suggests a custom service could have expedited the subscription feature's realization and reduced integration time with Lexoffice. Despite this setback, it is noted that Drupal Commerce may still be beneficial for future website expansions.
