Drupal Camp Asheville Opens Training Proposal Submissions

Training proposal submissions are now open for Drupal Camp Asheville, with organisers inviting contributors to lead hands-on workshops and interactive sessions as part of the event’s Training Day. The camp is scheduled for 11 July 2025, and selected trainers will be required to attend and deliver their sessions in person.

The Training Day is designed to focus on practical learning, with organisers encouraging proposals that help participants build, implement and improve Drupal skills through workshops, deep dives and collaborative exercises. Submissions are being reviewed on an ongoing basis, and prospective trainers are advised to apply early.

Selected trainers will receive a free general admission ticket to Drupal Camp Asheville. Compensation will be provided based on attendance, with trainers earning $20 per participant for half-day sessions and $40 per participant for full-day sessions. The structure is intended to support community-led teaching while recognising the effort involved in delivering training.

Training sessions will follow a structured schedule aligned with the main event programme. Half-day trainings are planned for 09:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 16:00, while full-day sessions will run from 09:00 to 16:00. A lunch break is scheduled from 12:00 to 13:00, and an afternoon break at 14:30 will include refreshments. Trainers are expected to arrive at least 15 minutes before their session to prepare.

Organisers have outlined participation requirements as part of the submission agreement. Trainers must adhere to the Drupal Code of Conduct, confirm eligibility to participate in community events and avoid including proprietary material without appropriate rights. Sessions must remain educational in nature and cannot be used to promote specific products or services.

Trainers are expected to bring their own equipment, including a laptop, presentation materials and necessary connectors such as HDMI cables. While connectivity will be available, organisers recommend preparing materials locally to ensure smooth delivery.

Drupal Camp Asheville continues to position its Training Day as a dedicated space for skill development within the broader community event, supporting both new and experienced Drupal users through structured, instructor-led sessions.
