Drupal AI Learners Club Releases First Session Recording with 97 Participants

Early demonstrations and community ground rules signal structured experimentation around AI in Drupal
Drupal AI Learners Club Publishes Recording of First Community Meeting

Drupal AI Learners Club released the recording of its inaugural session, providing access to demonstrations on AI-driven Drupal workflows and development practices. The session, held on 8 April 2026, brought together 97 attendees, with 147 registrations, in a show-and-tell format to explore emerging uses of artificial intelligence within the Drupal ecosystem.

The session featured a series of technical demonstrations from community contributors. Jürgen Haas presented work on agent skills designed to improve how large language models interact with Drupal-specific contexts. Michael Herchel demonstrated the use of AI in core development workflows, including visual regression testing for theme-related changes. Scott Falconer showcased experimental agent-based workflows using tools such as Beads and gstack.

The meeting was facilitated by Angie Byron and supported by Timothy Lehnen, who enabled the use of Drupal Association infrastructure for hosting and distribution. The session also introduced initial ground rules and shared practices, reflecting early efforts to structure collaboration around AI within the Drupal community, where participants are encouraged to share evolving approaches rather than finished solutions.

The material reflects early-stage experimentation across multiple approaches to integrating AI into Drupal development and workflows. While the session highlights active community participation, the demonstrations remain exploratory and do not represent standardised practices or production-ready solutions.

The recording, slides and session notes are available on the official meeting page, with the video also published on YouTube for community access.
