A11yTalks

A11yTalks was started in 2017 by Carie Fisher to help bridge the gap between developers and accessibility professionals. Not long after, Donna Bungard and AmyJune Hineline joined the team and really helped this project get off the ground. Now in 2022 we have grown to nine members!Their content is available to the public as a free resource for digital accessibility education as well as continuing education credits for certified International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP).Your Support will help them meet accesibility goals, to compensate their speakers, improve thier live stream productions and provide the best value possible for the community. In addition to curating content focussed on digital accessibility, A11YTalks aims to make their digital presence, events, and activities as accessible as we possibly can.
The Mission of A11y talks is to normalise digital accessibility through education. They are keen on emphasising values like accessibility, education, ddiversity, community, authentticity and  make a conscious effort to include PwD, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, women, and other marginalized groups in tech in our speaker line-up.
