A11yTalks Releases Video of Lise Noble's Session on A11Y Theme Builder
A11yTalks has released the video of its December 12, 2024, session on YouTube. The session featured Lise Noble, Director and Distinguished UX Engineer and Designer at Discover Financial Services. Noble introduced the A11Y Theme Builder, Discover’s first open-source project aimed at helping teams create accessible digital experiences. The tool supports light and dark modes across devices and platforms and includes user interface options designed for individuals with ADHD, dyslexia, and colour blindness.
Founded in 2017 by Carie Fisher, A11yTalks has grown into a nine-member team dedicated to fostering a collaborative space for accessibility and development professionals. Operating under a strict Code of Conduct, A11yTalks ensures respectful and inclusive dialogue. The organization actively promotes diversity, featuring speakers from underrepresented groups, including PwD, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and other marginalized communities in tech.
