I currently hold a hybrid role at CivicActions -- I've been an engineer on projects for the Department of Education, VA, and NSF. But I also manage other engineers and help lead both the Drupal and Python practice areas. Writing code + supporting others is a good combination for me.

Before joining CivicActions, I was (am?) the owner of the interactive agency Major Robot. I led teams of developers and project managers on complex software projects for Smithsonian, the UN, and other do-good museums and organizations. While I was responsible for the company’s vision and strategy, I also joined my co-workers in the trenches as senior developer
