A11Y Talks Hosting A Live Webinar On Linguistic Accessibility
A11yTalks has announced its upcoming webinar on 8 May, 2023 at 05:00 EDT. The meetup topic is "A11Y Talks - Do you speak Accessibility? - A look at accessibility hurdles for language learning and linguistics." Florian Beijers, developer and hobby linguist, will present the session.
This session will walk the audience through some of the findings, which range from screen readers not understanding how to speak the definitive guide to pronouncing things to less-than-helpful applications and from several alphabets to useless, erroneous language labeling.
A11yTalks strives to create a welcoming and secure atmosphere. All participants should be able to engage in fruitful discussions. They should share and learn in a respectful environment.
