Owen Lansbury Talks to TDT About DrupalSouth 2023

DrupalSouth is an annual conference devoted to the Drupal content management system (CMS) and associated technologies. It is hosted in the southern hemisphere annually and brings together Drupal developers, designers, site builders, and users from Australia, New Zealand, and other areas of the world. This year it will take place in Wellington from May 17 to 19, 2023.

To learn more about DrupalSouth, TheDropTimes (TDT) called upon Owen Lansbury, elected Chair of the Drupal South Steering Committee, and discussed the workings of DrupalSouth.

Owen has been working in the digital sector since the early 1990s and is one of the co-founders of Previous Next, a company specializing in websites built with Drupal. He has also been appointed to the worldwide Drupal Association Board of Directors.

Alethia Braganza, a sub-editor at TDT, conducted a Zoom interview with Owen. He talked about the early beginnings of Drupal South, venue selection, volunteering opportunities and more.
