Mautic 7.2.1 Fixes Campaign Timing, Forms and Plugin Compatibility
Released on 23 September 2026, Mautic 7.2.1, the Absolunto Edition, fixes issues across campaigns, forms, dynamic content, themes, reports, plugins and production deployments. The Mautic Community highlighted campaign email scheduling, cross-instance form embedding and theme installation among the main changes.
Campaign scheduling receives one of the more consequential corrections. Contacts in time zones ahead of UTC could receive campaign emails at the wrong local hour when an action combined a specific send time with restrictions on permitted weekdays. The scheduler now reapplies the configured hour after moving the event to the next allowed day. Version 7.2.1 also prevents scheduled campaign events from repeatedly executing when their log is already locked and records changes to campaign-event redirects correctly.
Forms from different Mautic instances can now be embedded on the same website without interfering with one another. Sorting form results also no longer risks switching to a different form and hiding expected entries. Dynamic web content tokens now work inside links and buttons rather than only in surrounding content.
Deployment and compatibility fixes cover several additional cases. Theme ZIP files wrapped inside a single parent folder can now be installed correctly. The GrapesJS builder, styles and scripts also receive fixes for installations using a separate web root, while command-line installation no longer fails when the logs directory has not yet been created.
Mautic also restores internal service names removed during an earlier refactor because some third-party plugins depend on them. Reports filtered by tags now return the expected results, the company importer returns users to the company workflow after choosing Import Another, and contact or company names containing ampersands display correctly.
Email-link validation requires an additional caveat for administrators evaluating 7.2.1. The release includes a fix intended to make link validation work in production installations, but a subsequent issue showed that symfony/dom-crawler could still be unavailable when dependencies were installed without development packages. In affected setups, saving an email containing links could fail with a server error.
A follow-up correction moved the DomCrawler dependency into the production runtime requirements. That pull request was merged on 1 October and is assigned to the 7.2.2 milestone, so it is not part of the published 7.2.1 package.
The release also includes smaller interface and maintenance fixes, including corrected read-status wording in the contact timeline and better rendering of accented and non-Latin text in confirmation dialogs. Readers can review the full set of changes on the Mautic 7.2.1 release page.
