CommonPlaces is a web development company that has worked with several clients across various industries, including education, technology, energy, and real estate. A recent blog post published on the company's website speaks about the most interesting projects done by it. Some of their clients include MIT, Intuit, Epsilon, The Cool Block, Verizon, Unica (now IBM), Genscape, and the Council of Residential Specialists (CRS). CommonPlaces built a customer experience portal for MIT’s Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) group, which included a search facility, technical support, and help desk for the entire university community.

For Intuit, CommonPlaces developed a customer portal for their partners and customers, using the Acquia platform, and completed additional development projects. Epsilon hired CommonPlaces to design and develop the Agility and Harmony website, which led to a 400% increase in sales over three years. The Cool Block was a partnership between Greenopolis and Empowerment Institute, where CommonPlaces launched a customer portal application to track individual progress in the Cool City Challenge.

CommonPlaces also worked with Verizon to design and build a website and application for the annual Verizon Innovative App Challenge, which attracted over 100,000 registered students. For Unica (now IBM), CommonPlaces built a customer service portal that integrated two ticketing systems with a custom analytics module. CommonPlaces built a Drupal website for Genscape that collected data from multiple sources to generate sophisticated reports, and for CRS, they built a site allowing CRS to share their content with non-members, complete with a “Find a CRS” feature.
