CivicPlus, a government technology provider specializing in websites and records management, is selling its online accessibility platform, Monsido, to Acquia. This move aligns with Acquia's strategy to enhance its suite of offerings using open-source Drupal for major businesses. Monsido, a platform monitoring website accessibility for individuals with disabilities, SEO, data privacy, and other digital features, will be a valuable addition to Acquia's portfolio.

While the terms of the deal remain undisclosed, CivicPlus plans to continue providing the Monsido platform to local governments as a reseller. Acquia, on the other hand, aims to cater to U.S. state and federal government customers interested in Monsido. This strategic acquisition positions Acquia as a comprehensive solution provider for building, managing, and delivering digital experiences in adherence to modern website standards and guidelines, including WCAG and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
