Drupal Chronicles: Submit Your Stories of Community, Passion, and Career Journeys
Post DrupalCon Lille, Dries Buytaert, the founder of Drupal, is reaching out to the Drupal community, urging individuals to share their personal stories about how Drupal has impacted their lives and careers. The initiative is sparked by the heartfelt narratives often shared during Drupal events, emphasizing the power, emotion, and motivation inherent in these personal experiences.
Recently, Dries was contacted by a father-daughter duo, Thomas P. Scola Jr. and Olivia Scola, both part of the Acquia team, with their own inspiring story about how Drupal has become a central element of their careers and passions.
Dries Buytaert encourages the Drupal community to contribute short videos, preferably less than five minutes long, sharing personal anecdotes about overcoming challenges, completing projects, or how Drupal has played a pivotal role in shaping individual lives and careers.
The primary goal is to capture and share these stories in a way that inspires and motivates others in the community. Dries emphasizes that video quality is not a priority at this stage, as the focus is on gathering and preserving the stories. Later, there may be efforts to share these stories more widely, potentially with improved recording quality.
