EditTogether's Real-Time Editing Solution Integrated with Drupal

EditTogether is an integrated, open-source real-time editing solution tailored for Drupal, ensuring streamlined collaboration and workflows within the CMS while prioritizing data control and privacy. In a recent YouTube video by Palantir.net, Alex Jones, senior technical architect and development lead for EditTogether, discusses their ongoing work on the framework for Drupal 10. 

Jones highlights the expansion of EditTogether to accommodate diverse content structures and workflows by integrating real-time collaboration features at the form level, including inline comments and suggestions. The demonstration showcases users collaborating on various form elements, such as plain text fields and non-fielded elements like checkboxes and text areas. 

The commenting feature allows users to highlight text, comment, and interact with comments in real time, with permissions available for role-based content review processes. By making all form elements collaborative, EditTogether aims to transform the content creation process into a collaborative endeavour, empowering Drupal users to manage complex content and communicate seamlessly with colleagues in real-time.
