Supporting Global LGBTQ+ Organizations: Drupal Association's Pride Month 2024

The Drupal Association celebrates Pride Month 2024 by highlighting international organizations supporting the LGBTQ+ community and donating proceeds from themed apparel sales in the Drupal Swag Shop. Pride Month, observed every June to commemorate the Stonewall Uprising of 1969, marks a significant milestone in the gay liberation movement. Guided by open-source values emphasizing inclusivity, the Drupal Association reaffirms its commitment to supporting individuals of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions, which is in line with the Open Web Manifesto’s principles.

Throughout the month, the Drupal Association will feature a different LGBTQ+ organization each week, including Micro Rainbow International Foundation, Human Dignity Trust, Rainbow Railroad, and The Trevor Project. These organizations work across various sectors: employment, legal advocacy, refugee support, and youth mental health. The community is encouraged to learn about these organizations and vote for the one that will receive the proceeds from the Drupal Pride gear sales. All profits from the sales will be donated to the chosen organization at the end of June.

Drupal Pride Stories

The Drupal Association invites community members to share their personal stories about what Pride means to them. Submissions can include short videos, quotes, or photos, which will be featured on the Drupal Association’s social media channels.

This initiative aims to amplify voices within the community and celebrate Pride's diverse experiences and importance.
