Drupal Association Board Election 2024: Voting Now Open

Voting for the 2024 Drupal Association At-Large Board Member election has officially begun as of August 15, 00:00 UTC. Eligible members of the Drupal community can cast their votes until the polls close on September 5 at 23:59 UTC. This election allows members to directly influence who will represent them on the Drupal Association Board.

This year, the Drupal Association has implemented a simpler voting system, transitioning from the Instant Runoff method to the Approval voting system. Under this new approach, voters will indicate which candidates they find acceptable for the board. The candidate who receives the most approval from the community will be elected.

To ensure maximum participation, voting papers have been sent to the primary email address of every eligible voter, as listed in their Drupal.org profile. The Drupal Association views this as critical communication with the electorate, ensuring that all eligible members are informed and able to participate.

Voting is being conducted through the Helios Voting tool, which has been chosen for its reliability and verifiability after being successfully used by other open-source projects. Members are encouraged to review candidate information and make their selections before the voting period ends on September 5.
