Drupal to Launch Marketing Push Focused on Rewarding Makers
During the Driesnote at DrupalCon Atlanta 2025, Dries Buytaert shared key updates on Drupal’s marketing strategy and highlighted progress made since DrupalCon Portland. Efforts include a refreshed Drupal brand, an ongoing rebuild of drupal.org, and the hiring of two product marketers at the Drupal Association.
These updates aim to improve visibility and promote adoption of Drupal CMS, while also directly supporting Drupal’s certified partners. Described as “makers” by Dries, these partners build much of Drupal and are now receiving additional tools to navigate a challenging market.

As part of the “Rewarding Makers” approach, the Drupal Association is redesigning case study pages and organizational profiles on drupal.org. Each will feature enhanced visuals and embedded lead forms to help connect prospective users directly with certified Drupal partners.
To further assist partner outreach, the Drupal Association has released a detailed Drupal CMS marketing pitch deck. This resource is designed to help certified partners better position Drupal to prospective clients.

“We want to provide more value for the makers while promoting and marketing Drupal,”
Dries said, emphasizing the dual focus of growing the platform and supporting the ecosystem behind it.
