Pantheon Launches GitHub Integration, Upgraded Drupal Module, and Trust Center in Spring 2025 Update
Pantheon has released its Spring 2025 product update, delivering major improvements across development workflows, infrastructure, and platform transparency. The rollout is now live, with additional enhancements scheduled for Q3.
The most notable addition is native GitHub integration, designed to simplify and streamline code deployment. Developers can now choose between a GitHub Application-currently in beta-for teams without a CI pipeline, and a GitHub Action for teams with one already in place. Both options aim to eliminate redundant repositories and enable direct version control within GitHub.
The release also includes an upgraded Content Publisher module for Drupal, which now offers deeper integration with Drupal's native features, including entities, fields, search, and the layout builder. The module improves collaboration by supporting external content tools like Google Docs while providing dev teams with tighter workflow control.
Pantheon has launched a modernized site dashboard, now in beta, that offers improved accessibility, a redesigned commit log, updated environment management tools, and more granular site settings. The dashboard is built on a public API, enabling developers to create custom dashboards, internal tooling, or CLI utilities tailored to their workflow.
Behind the scenes, Pantheon has introduced a next-generation PHP runtime (in beta), featuring long-term version support, stronger security, and compatibility with modern PHP extensions. Infrastructure visibility has also improved with resource usage tracking by billing period, letting users monitor site traffic in line with their plan limits. Interstitial warning pages are now displayed on sandbox environments to clearly flag non-production status.
The launch of the Customer Trust Centre is a major step forward in platform transparency. This new portal gives customers centralized access to Pantheon's security controls, compliance documentation, and privacy policies, including details on SOC 2 Type 2 and GDPR adherence.
Three additional features are in development and targeted for Q3 2025:
- Unified customer support for consistent communication across channels without repeated context;
- Log forwarding to external services like Splunk and Sumo Logic;
- Public API access for building custom applications and integrations directly on Pantheon infrastructure.
More feature announcements are expected later in the year.
