Drupal.org Launches Free 7-Day AI Demos with amazee.ai for Future-Ready Workflows

Drupal.org has unveiled a free seven-day AI demo experience, giving users hands-on access to AI-enhanced Drupal features within a secure, hosted environment. The demos, supported by amazee.ai, aim to showcase how artificial intelligence can accelerate content management, accessibility, and compliance workflows.

Announced this week, the initiative marks a milestone in Drupal’s AI roadmap by providing pre-configured demo sites that require no setup. Users can explore tools such as content categorization, CKEditor enhancements, simplified text, and smarter search—all powered by modules from the Drupal AI ecosystem.

The demos are hosted by amazee.ai, which offers a privacy-focused infrastructure with data sovereignty controls, GDPR compliance, and open-source flexibility. Each instance runs for seven days, allowing contributors, site builders, and enterprise teams to test AI capabilities without deployment overhead or vendor lock-in.

According to amazee.io, this collaboration reflects a broader push toward making Drupal an AI-ready platform, especially for enterprises concerned with security and regulatory compliance. “You get to explore powerful AI features in a ready-to-use site, knowing the infrastructure is built for confidence,” the company noted in a LinkedIn post.

Key demo features include automatic content tagging, AI-generated alt text and summaries inside CKEditor, and chat-based search that interprets meaning rather than keywords. Accessibility checks and compliance tools are also built into the demo workflows.

Designed to be accessible even to those without deep Drupal knowledge, the demos serve both educational and evaluative purposes. Organizations can trial the features before committing to AI integration within their production environments.

The Amazee AI Provider module, which powers the demos, remains fully open-source and compatible with Drupal 10.3 and 11. Users can also deploy it locally, extending the demo functionality to their own projects.
