PHP Foundation Seeks New Executive Director as Roman Pronskiy Steps Down

Under Pronskiy's leadership, the Foundation established a core developer team and strengthened collaboration across the PHP ecosystem. As his responsibilities at JetBrains expand, Pronskiy has opted to focus there while ensuring continuity during the leadership handover. A search committee comprising board members Sebastian Bergmann and Nils Adermann, alongside community representatives Lorna Jane Mitchell and Ben Ramsey, will oversee the selection process.

The Executive Director role is structured as a remote contractor position through the Open Source Collective, with a renewable one-year term. Compensation includes a base salary between $90,000 and $105,000 USD annually, plus a performance-based bonus of up to $65,000. The selected candidate will be responsible for strategy, operations, fundraising, communications, and community relations.

Key qualifications include open-source leadership experience, knowledge of the PHP ecosystem, strong project management skills, and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
