The announcement was shared by Drupal community member J Matthew Saunders, who invited interested participants to submit their details through an online form. Organisers say a small number of recipients will be selected from those who apply.

Eligibility is primarily aimed at individuals who have participated in or have ties to DrupalCamp Colorado. This may include attending the event, presenting sessions, or being involved in the broader community around the camp.

The ticket giveaway is intended to support broader participation in DrupalCon Chicago 2026, one of the largest gatherings of the Drupal community. The event typically brings together developers, site builders, project managers, and other digital professionals to share knowledge, collaborate on projects, and discuss developments in the Drupal ecosystem.

Organisers noted that the giveaway covers conference registration only and does not include travel or accommodation expenses. Selected participants who confirm their interest will receive a discount code from the Drupal Association to redeem their ticket during registration.
