Sergio Huerta to Present Drupal ECA and AI Workflow Automation Talk in Madrid

The presentation will introduce the fundamentals of the ECA (Event–Condition–Action) module, which enables Drupal to execute configured automation flows without custom code. By responding to system events and applying defined conditions and actions, ECA allows site builders to implement structured behavioural logic directly through configuration.

Building on that foundation, the session will demonstrate how Artificial Intelligence services can extend ECA workflows to support contextual decision-making. Planned examples include triggering automated actions from Drupal system events, evaluating dynamic conditions using AI-generated or processed data, and integrating AI services for tasks such as summarisation and translation.

The meetup reflects growing experimentation within the Drupal ecosystem around combining ECA automation patterns with AI services, positioning Drupal as a configurable no-code workflow platform rather than solely a content management system.
