Kristen Pol

Kristen Pol is a long-time Drupal architect, developer, and community leader with more than 21 years of experience in the Drupal ecosystem, beginning with Drupal 4. She currently serves as the Drupal AI Program Manager for the Drupal AI Initiative and is the project lead for the Context Control Center, helping coordinate structured AI development within Drupal’s evolving roadmap.

Kristen is the Director of Products at QuantCDN, the founder of Itty Bitty Byte, and a Senior Technical Consultant at Salsa Digital. Over the course of her career, she has held leadership roles spanning technical architecture, product management, engineering management, and consulting, with more than 25 years of experience in web application development and search engine optimisation.

An Acquia Grand Master, Kristen has earned certifications as a Drupal 7 Developer and front-end and back-end specialist. She is also the author of Drupal 7 Multilingual Sites, reflecting her longstanding expertise in internationalisation and content architecture.

Deeply engaged in the Drupal community since 2009, Kristen has contributed extensively to open source. She has more than 1,100 credited issue fixes in the Drupal.org issue queue and maintains dozens of projects. Her work spans architecture, content strategy, site building, analytics, SEO, leadership, mentoring, and public speaking, with presentations delivered at numerous DrupalCons, camps, and community events.
