Experience Builder Week 28: Preview Mode, New Entity Types, and Redux Updates

Wim Leers reports on the latest developments in Experience Builder (XB) during week 28 (November 18–24, 2024), highlighting the introduction of a new Preview functionality built by Jesse Baker, Dave Long, and Harumi Jang, which enables interactable previews without UI chrome. Efforts led by Ted Bowman, Dave, Travis Carden, Lee Rowlands, Felix Mazeikis, and Leers have also resulted in server-side support for saving XB component trees, complementing the previously introduced auto-save feature. 

The article details the introduction of two new entity types: "Pattern" for structured sections and "xb_page" for unstructured landing pages, developed by Matt Glaman, Ted, and Leers. Additionally, updates to Redux-integrated field widgets were made by Ben Mullins, Alex Bronstein, Travis, and Leers, shifting CSS and JS attachment from response headers to the response body for improved scalability. 

Documentation efforts on the Semi-Coupled theme engine and Redux-integrated field widgets involved contributions from Ben, Lauri Timmanee, Bálint Kléri, Dave, Alex, Lee, Pierre Dureau, and Brian Perry. Further advancements include improvements to XB's internal HTTP API, Cypress test restructuring by Harumi and Ben, and enhancements to Tugboat-powered previews by James Sansbury, Kristen Pol, and Alex.
