Drupal 2022 Recap in Dec Newsletter of DA & a Video from 1xInternet

In with the Old and Out with the new; The Drupal Community is looking forward to the new year!  Now is the time to recollect all accomplished in the past year. Drupal association had led the way into reminiscence and put out a recap of the year 2022.

Highlights from 2022

While the Drupal Association reflects on everything they've accomplished this year, they would like to share a message from Drupal Association CEO, Tim Doyle:

“While I am new to the Drupal Association, I am happy to report that we are ending the year with stabilized finances, exciting new board members, and a clear vision for growing and marketing Drupal on a global scale. I am grateful to Angie Sabin for her excellent management as interim Executive Director and to the entire Association team whom I’ve found to be dedicated, hard-working, and caring. 

We are looking forward to a fantastic 2023, fully emerging from the pandemic, to support the thousands of members of the Drupal Community that give so much time and treasure in making Drupal the vibrant open source solution that it is.”

Here are a few highlights from the past year here at the Drupal Association:

• We were able to reunite in person once again at DrupalCon Portland and DrupalCon Prague!
• We continued with Discover Drupal, the Drupal Association’s talent and education program, and graduated four students
• Drupal 10 was released, the latest innovative version of the open source software you know and love
• We brought on our new CEO, Tim Doyle
• We welcomed a new Chief Revenue + Philanthropy Officer, Kristin Romaine
• We hired our first Contribution Enablement Coordinator, Joi Garrett
• Our board began conversations that will launch us into strategic plan toward adding Drupal marketing and additional product focus
