Experience Builder Week 3: Progress on Shape Matching and UI Development

Wim Leers reports on the advancements made in Week 3 of the Experience Builder (XB) project, particularly focusing on shape matching. Despite the U.S. holiday on Monday, significant progress was made, including a storage merge request (MR) and a second MR allowing source type and value changes, demonstrated through a screencast shared on Tuesday. Wim highlights the development of a provisional UI named TwoTerribleTextAreasWidget to establish backend infrastructure. The team is working to match Single Directory Components (SDC) props against Drupal field types, incorporating both dynamic and static values. 

A Proof of Concept for data adapters was also successfully merged, enhancing data shaping capabilities. Key meetings with team members Cristina Chumillas, Jared Ponchot, Mateu Aguiló Bosch, and Mike Herchel focused on design tokens for SDC. Further coordination efforts led to the creation of meta-issues to streamline contributions, with the Dropsolid team expressing keen interest in participating. Thanks to Ben Mullins and Jesse Baker's work with Cypress, significant strides in CI pipeline integration were achieved, promising more efficient future UI developments, adds Wim.
