Global Drupal Experts Set to Judge

The jury for the 2024 Splash Awards in Netherlands has been revealed, featuring a diverse panel of industry experts from across the global Drupal community. These distinguished professionals will evaluate entries in various categories, ensuring that the most innovative and impactful Drupal projects are recognized.

Among the jury members is Stella Power, CEO of Annertech and a seasoned web developer. Stella has been a vital part of the Drupal community since 2008, maintaining key modules and contributing extensively to its growth. Joining her is Bostjan Kovac, owner of Slovenian company Agiledrop, which provides developers for a variety of web development projects. A well-known figure in Drupal circles, Bostjan brings years of expertise to the panel.

The jury also includes Anja Schirwinski, owner of the German-based Undpaul, known for delivering high-quality Drupal projects. Anja is no stranger to the Splash Awards, having judged entries in previous editions. Bas Boot, a development teacher at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, adds an educational perspective to the jury, helping prepare the next generation of media technology professionals.

Other notable members include Bram Driesen, a Drupal Developer & DevOps Engineer at Sopra Steria, and Julia Topliss, Website & Platforms Manager at the Psychology Association Australia, who is also an active member of the Drupal Australia Foundation.

Marine Gandy, chairwoman of the Drupal France Foundation and Developer Relations Engineer at Platform.sh, and Paul Johnson, former Drupal director of CTI Digital and now Business Development Manager at 1xINTERNET, complete the esteemed panel. Both Marine and Paul have played instrumental roles in advancing the Drupal ecosystem internationally.

The Splash Awards, regarded as the most prestigious annual recognition for Drupal projects, will take place on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at the Railway Museum in Utrecht. This year's event promises to be a grand celebration of creativity and technical excellence in the Drupal community.

With the jury now in place, anticipation is building as the deadline for submissions approaches. Entrants have until Monday, October 7, 2024, to submit their projects for consideration, following the recent extension of the deadline. Read more here.
