The Drupal AI Meetup, set to take place on October 17, 2024, will provide an exciting glimpse into how artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming web development within the Drupal ecosystem. This virtual event, organized by Nico Grienauer and James Abrahams, aims to bring together Drupal developers, site builders, and enthusiasts for a series of expert-led discussions and presentations focused on integrating AI into Drupal workflows.

The meetup will kick off at 19:00 CEST with a retrospective discussion on DrupalCon Barcelona 2024 and its AI-themed keynote from Drupal founder, Dries Buytaert. Hosted by James Abrahams and Nico Grienauer, this segment will open the floor to participants, encouraging them to share their insights and thoughts on the evolving role of AI in Drupal. Following this, at 20:00 CEST, Scott Euser, Head of Web Development at Soapbox, will deliver a comprehensive talk on AI Search. Scott, who is an active contributor to Drupal Core and a co-maintainer of several Drupal modules, will explore the latest updates in AI-powered search tools. His session will provide insights on how AI search functionalities, including advanced filtering and integration with Views, can enhance the performance of high-content, high-traffic websites.
