Austin Drupal Meetup Returns in February for Community Collaboration

The Austin Drupal Users Group is set to host its next in-person meetup on February 18, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM CST at the offices of Material+, located at 1801 N Lamar Blvd, Austin. Following the excitement of January’s Drupal CMS launch party, the community is eager to continue its engagement with both seasoned Drupal users and newcomers alike.

The event will kick off at 5:00 PM with a coworking and collaboration session, featuring JD Leonard, Project Lead of the open-source Membership Organization Platform (MOP) project. Attendees will have the opportunity to contribute to the Drupal ecosystem, regardless of technical expertise, or simply use the time for personal projects.

At 5:45 PM, food and drinks may be provided, pending sponsorship. The organizers are actively seeking companies interested in supporting the local Drupal community.

The formal meetup agenda begins at 6:00 PM with introductions, encouraging participants to connect and strengthen the community. At 6:15 PM, speakers will present on various Drupal-related topics. The group is currently seeking volunteers to share insights, with talks open to any subject of interest to the Drupal community.

Later in the evening, attendees will engage in an unconference-style discussion. Participants can suggest topics on a whiteboard, fostering an open and collaborative exchange of ideas. The event will conclude at 8:00 PM CST.

The meetup welcomes anyone interested in Drupal, offering an informal, inclusive, and engaging environment. The venue provides ample parking, and public transportation options are available via the #5 bus route. Since the building entrance will be locked, attendees should coordinate entry via the "Texas Drupal" Slack workspace’s #austin channel or by calling the provided number.
